Cruise has made the sudden decision to return to the US after spending years in the UK, where he was sometimes seen enjoying pub outings and hanging out with the future king, Prince William.
According to a source who spoke to Sunday MailStaff were left “shocked” by the “Mission Impossible” star’s sudden departure after seeing him unpack boxes of £35million worth of property. [$47 million] A London penthouse property, which overlooks Hyde Park.
While the reason for his move is currently unclear, a source noted that it happened “very quickly” and seemingly out of the blue.

He loved walking in the local area, but he also really, really loved jumping into a helicopter at Battersea Heliport and flying over the great British countryside.”
The source continued, “It all happened very quickly; it was a surprise to the staff in the building where his penthouse is. It’s the strangest thing ever. With odd dates, heavily guarded movements, and late-night arrivals, Britain became his professional headquarters and private playground.”
“England became much more than just a filming base,” they added of the cruise’s sudden exit.

Before Cruise decided to return to the United States, he was best known for his love of the UK, where he had been making movies for more than 40 years.
Last year, the actor was recognized for his contribution to the UK film industry and was awarded a BFI Fellowship by the British Film Institute.
At the event in May, Cruise noted, “I’m really honoured, I’ve been making films in the UK for over 40 years and I have no plans to stop.”
Back in 2022, the actor even labeled himself an “Anglophile” because he “spent a lot of time in Britain, and not just because of work.”
“I love living here,” he said at the time Daily Mail. “It’s a great mix of old and new… Britain is trendy too, and there’s a lot that other countries copy. I also love the British countryside.”
Cruise was also said to be interested in buying some property in the Cotswolds, as he hoped to strengthen his ties to Britain, following his sudden departure, which included him removing his blackout curtains from his penthouse.

Cruz, who has become the face of the Church of Scientology in part because of his outspoken support over the years, recently came under fire after locals complained about him and his organization.
The actor makes it a point of duty to attend the Church of England’s annual fundraiser. However, last year’s December version reportedly “outraged” East Grinstead residents because of the disruption it caused to their daily lives.
The small town in West Sussex is home to the church’s British headquarters and often receives large numbers of guests when such events are taking place.
According to Daily Mail, Former scientist Alexander Barnes-Ross said that the locals were “extremely frustrated and angry” at the sudden increase in population during the fund, and particularly uncomfortable because of Cruise “flying around in his helicopter”.
“It causes a lot of noise and nuisance, and he [Tom Cruise]You know, not stopping for photos or anything,” Barnes-Ross shared.
One resident criticized the Church of Scientology’s activities as ‘disruptive’

According to the news outlet, one resident described the order of church proceedings as “very disruptive” since the preparation stage.
“For six to eight weeks, they were laying pallets on the ground to park cars, so we had disruption and noise, lorry after lorry coming,” the unnamed local said of Cruz Church.
During the event proper, such chaos would be added as the church would use generators to power heavy equipment and play loud musical instruments.
Reports suggest that the community feels “helpless” about what to do, as some city leaders also attend the church and have good ties to the organization.

According to Daily MailLocals have since lodged a complaint with Mid Sussex District Council, noting that the event, attended by Cruz and other high-profile church members, would cause “a lot of disruption” in the area.
It is alleged that it causes traffic jams and noise pollution. Complaints will require a review of the church’s premises license.
If the local community wins, the church may be asked to curtail the large events it hosts or implement measures to protect vulnerable people.
