Criticism continues to follow Erica, and has intensified since audio of her speaking with members of the TPUSA team leaked two weeks after Charlie’s death.

The audio was released by right-wing influencer Candace Owens, who previously promoted several conspiracy theories about Charlie’s death.

In the recording, Erica can be heard “laughing” and praising the team for pulling off the “event of the century” and considering the substantial merchandise sales they made.

“Wow, I don’t even know where to start. The fact that we were able to pull off the event of the century is just crazy. We had 275,000 people in attendance and the stadium overflowed,” Erica said in the leaked audio.

He added, “I think we’re like 200,000 for merchandise sales. Don’t quote me on that, because I think it’s going to keep bumping like crazy. I want to say a big, big thank you to the event team, the development team, the graphic design team, and the production team.”

It was sure to raise eyebrows when Erica spoke so gleefully about selling merchandise after her husband’s death, but her blatant dismissal of his death was even more shocking.

In the middle of his speech, he asked his staff to resolve any past disputes among themselves before commenting on Charlie’s death.

“My husband is dead. Like, I’m not trying to be sick, but he’s dead. And it puts life into perspective about how short life and relationships are,” Erica said.

In response, Owens then said on her podcast that she was surprised by Erica’s calm response.

“In my imagination, I just thought she would be more concerned,” the right-wing influencer commented.

Reaction to Erica’s leaked audio has been somewhat divided, with many calling out the widow’s overly cheerful attitude, while others noted that she was simply making the best of a bad situation.

A critic at X noted, “The most cheerful leftist you can imagine, not half as happy about Charlie Kirk’s death as Charlie Kirk’s wife.”

Another person wrote, ‘People grieve differently, but no one grieves like this.

“This is the first time she sounds authentic, happy to trade in her husband’s memory, crazy, every speech she gives about her husband sounds like bad acting,” a third person commented on the leaked audio.

However, many showed support for Erica, with one asking, “What should she do? Not address and thank the team for her husband’s memorial?”

Another said, “Erica is excited about millions of people hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Why are we worried about this?!”

A widow embarks on a new faith journey

Since taking over from Charlie, Erica has organized several TPUSA events and recently launched another under the non-profit Trust Arm.

The inaugural “Make Heaven Crowded” tour will visit 30 cities this year to call people to “repentance, faith, and bold obedience to Jesus.”

“This tour is very special to me because I … want to bring a piece of heaven from my husband and bring it to everyone around this county so they can experience that expanse, that beauty and that clear feeling of the Holy Spirit,” Erica told thousands of viewers about the tour. New York Post.

Erica Kirk was criticized for including a controversial pastor linked to a child trafficking case on her tour

Unfortunately for Erica, the tour, which is still in its early days, was quickly overshadowed by controversy surrounding Pastor Greg Laurie’s role as the primary speaker.

Laurie, senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, has been named in a series of lawsuits filed in U.S. federal court by former pastor Paul Hovsgaard alleging child abuse and trafficking.

The lawsuit alleges that church leaders, including Laurie, allowed Hovsgaard to operate unsupervised and ignored several warning signs of his alleged abuse while running church-supported children’s homes in Romania from 1998 to 2008.

Laurie and her church have denied any wrongdoing.
