President Donald Trump tried to limit the fallout from his bizarre expletive-filled tirade early on Easter Sunday morning.
Just after 8am, the President shared a message for Iran on Truth Social, writing, “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all rolled into one, nothing like this will happen in Iran!!!”
“Open the f—-n’ straight, you crazy b——ds, or you’ll live in hell – just watch!” He continued, “Praise be to Allah.”

He then skipped church on the holiest day of the Christian calendar, opting to host an Easter dinner with first lady Melania Trump and enjoy a “ceremoniously slow” presidential motorcade around Washington DC.
His visit to DC took him around Memorial Circle, near the site of his planned presidential arch, and included a stop at the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia.

He also found time to speak with Fox News. Foreign correspondent Trey Yingst told the organizers Fox and friends He had a 15-minute phone conversation with the president about Iran.
In their phone call, the president doubled down on his earlier threat, reportedly telling Yingst, “If they don’t make a deal and fast, I’m considering blowing up everything and taking the oil.”
Yingst continued, “The president said, ‘You’re going to see bridges and power plants come down in your country.'”
Perhaps realizing that ignoring the significance of Easter Sunday would not appeal to the president’s many Christian supporters, the White House then changed tack, with both the president and the White House posting a video of artist Vanessa Horabuena painting an image of Jesus Christ.
“Vanessa is amazing!” Trump wrote on Truth Social hours after his tirade. The White House then reposted the video, citing him.

The president previously hosted Horabuena for his lavish New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago, where she painted a 10-minute portrait of Jesus on stage that was then auctioned off for $2.75 million.
She also drew a portrait of the president at the Liberty Inaugural Ball in January 2025, and a different portrait of the president to replace one she disliked on display in Denver.

Posts about Horabuena’s artwork were joined by many others from many government agencies celebrating Jesus’ resurrection. While presidents routinely accept religious holidays, it is unusual for government departments to do so.
“He’s risen,” read a message posted by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and posted by the State Department on X. The Department of Homeland Security posted the graphic illustration. Resurrection of Christ “He is not here, but is risen” by Peter Paul Rubens and from Luke 24:6.

The Pentagon shared a message originally posted by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth that read, “The tomb is empty. The promise is fulfilled. Through His sacrifice, we are redeemed. We stand firm in faith, courage and truth – Happy Easter.” Another graphic quoting Luke 24:6 was attached.
“Today, as millions of Christians gather in their churches across the country to celebrate Christ’s resurrection, the Justice Department is proud to protect and defend religious freedom,” the Justice Department wrote in X.
The president, who was raised in his mother’s Presbyterian faith, began openly expressing his fears about not getting to heaven last year.
“I don’t think there is anything [that’s] Will bring me to heaven. OK?” he told reporters in October. “I guess I’m probably not heaven-bound.”
In February, he told a crowd in Georgia that he liked to joke about his chances of getting to heaven, saying, “I’d love to do it. But I doubt it, to be honest with you. A lot of you will. I’m not sure.”
