A photo of Trump with the young woman emerged after the Epstein files were released. There is no evidence that this is real

Shortly after, the US Department of Justice released a batch of files related to the delay Sex Offender Jeffrey Epstein On December 19, 2025, an image (archived) depicting President Donald Trump with a young girl — whose face was censored — on a private jet was circulated online. A post sharing the image on X, which has received more than 27 million views as of this writing, read: “They forgot to delete it.”

Many users who responded to the post believed the photo authentically depicted Trump with an unidentified girl, while others claimed she was Ivanka Trump, the president’s eldest daughter.

There were many indications that the image was not authentic; However, we couldn’t determine for sure that the image was AI-generated.

First, the date in the upper right corner – “9 1 ’02” – is useless. This could be a camera malfunction, although it could also be an artifact of AI generation or deliberate editing to make it harder to trace the origin of the image.

The earliest version of the image we could find appeared on social media user Keith Edwards’ platforms, including YouTube and X (archived). We’ve reached out to X and Instagram for comment on whether AdWords created the image and whether it was AI-generated or otherwise altered, and we’ll update this report to learn more.

While Edwards’ YouTube account used the image as a thumbnail for a video titled “The FBI forgot to redact this,” and he mentioned “a file they forgot to redact” containing Trump “and a 14-year-old girl” (at 0:22), Edwards did not show the thumbnail image.

Edwards’ YouTube account was filled with other, similarly shocking thumbnails, including expressive overlays of Edwards’ face with large, fuzzy, bright yellow captions. These are all classic signs of content designed to be clickbait — content that attracts viewers for ad revenue.

Reputable news media outlets have widely reported Trump’s presence in the files released publicly on December 19, but these reports did not include the image in question. Google searches for the keywords “Trump” “child” “Epstein” and “plane” revealed results related to other claims, but did not show the image in question. If it was authentic and still publicly available, reputable news media outlets would have reported on it.

While the Trump administration has drawn criticism for the disappearance of at least 16 files from government sites after the DOJ released them publicly without notice on Dec. 19, Edwards posts claims that the image in question has not been deleted. However, this was not in between The files we reviewed.
