CES has taken over Las Vegas this week, which means a flood of flashy — and usually expensive — tech-show announcements. Think 200-inch 16K TVs that only a billionaire could love (or fit in their home), and maybe Sometimes a really useful gadget that common people can afford. One of those gadgets you almost never see is already on sale. And yet, Anker’s new 45W Nano Charger with built-in Smart Display is already $10 off when pre-ordered. If you want it at this price, I wouldn’t wait – at least one color is already sold out.

Products announced at CES get discounted early, especially brand-new gear from major brands like Anker. While the previous Nano Charger retailed for $20, this updated version adds a few upgrades that justify the price bump — and at $30, you’re still paying less than usual for a compact 45-watt charger that can handle phones, wearables, and small laptops.
If you’re like me, you already have a few dozen chargers junking your drawers and cabinets. Does it make any difference? The big upgrade here is the built-in Smart Display, which shows real-time charging information like power output, temperature and charging status.
While the screen is undoubtedly cool, the most important feature for me is that the charger can recognize the device you’re plugged in and automatically adjust its output to protect the long-term health of the battery, which is very important if you’re charging everything from an iPhone and AirPods to a smartwatch or MacBook Air, often all in the same day. Instead of wondering if you’re overusing it with a high-watt charger, it takes care of the optimization for you. That said, with only one port, you need to prioritize what you’re charging.
Despite all these new features, the Nano still lives up to its name, remaining very small and lightweight. It also has 180-degree folding prongs that can fit over crowded outlets and power strips while keeping the screen visible – which may seem like a small detail but makes a big difference when you’re traveling or dealing with awkward wall sockets.
The prongs fold a full 180 degrees, helping the charger fit into crowded power strips even at odd angles. (anchor)
Although this charger has yet to be released, the Screenless Charger is replacing it, with over 1,700 five-star reviews on Amazon.
“This nano charger is compact, powerful and incredibly well made,” said one happy customer. “The 45W fast charging is impressive and the foldable plug makes it perfect for travel while still feeling solid and durable. It charges quickly and efficiently without overheating.”
This reviewer got their point across the board: “In daily use, it runs warm under heavy loads but never gets uncomfortably hot, which is what I’d expect from a charger pushing this wattage. I’ve used it on flights, in hotels and at home without any problems or dropouts.”
This five-star minimalist sums it all up nicely. “This charging block is small and light yet powerful enough to charge my MacBook Air. It charges my iPhone and iPad really fast and I can carry it on the go. As a minimum, I’m trying to find a charging block that can charge all three of my Apple products and the Anker Nano Charger does it all.”
“A few minor notes: If you’re powering a large laptop under sustained load, this is not a replacement for a full-sized 65W charger,” noted one four-star reviewer. “Also, it’s only single-port, so it’s not ideal if you need to charge multiple devices at once.” (For both of these applications, this Anker charger should do the trick.)
“My only minor gripe is that it only has one USB-C port – I wish I could plug in a second device at the same time – but it’s small considering the size and price,” echoed another fan. “If you want a single, powerful, and super portable wall charger you can throw in your bag and forget about, this is it.”
