Is the post office closed on President’s Day?

According to the USPS: “The US Postal Service will observe Presidents Day on Monday, February 16. All post office locations will be closed. Regular mail delivery and retail services will resume on Tuesday, February 17.”

Even if your local post office is closed, you can still access many products and services at usps.com and at self-service kiosks in certain locations. There, you get tickets, packages and more. Many of these kiosks are open 24/7.

Is FedEx open on President’s Day? Is UPS open? Amazon Prime?

You may have better luck with other parcel carriers on President’s Day. FedEx will operate on a modified delivery schedule while FedEx Freight, Office, Custom Critical and Logistics will all operate as normal on February 16, 2026.

UPS pickup and delivery services are available on President’s Day and UPS Store locations are open. Any Ground Saver or Mail Innovation deliveries, however, require an additional business day for transit due to a federal holiday.

Amazon Prime will deliver as normal on Presidents Day, including same-day delivery when applicable.

Find Costco holiday hours and closings at your nearest Costco store using the Find a Warehouse feature on Costco.com. Each store will list adjusted hours including Costco gas hours on Presidents Day 2026.

ShopRite will be open and generally operating under normal business hours, although it’s best to check with your local store.

Stop & Shop, Aldi, Trader Joe’s, Walmart, Whole Foods and other popular stores will also be operating under normal business hours on February 16, 2026.

Is Lowes open on Presidents Day? Is Home Depot open?

Yes, Lowes is open on Presidents Day with most locations operating normal business hours (6 a.m. to 10 p.m.). In fact, Lowes is celebrating President’s Day with sales up to 40% off on a variety of items, including patio furniture, appliances, lighting and more.

Home Depot will also be open during normal business hours (6 a.m.-10 p.m.) on Presidents Day and will also offer special deals including 40-55% off appliances, rugs, patio furniture and more.

Other homeware stores such as IKEA, Hobby Lobby and Macy’s will also be operating normal business hours.

Is the mall open on President’s Day? Short Hills, American Dream, Livingston Mall hours.

The American Dream Mall in East Rutherford will be open on February 16, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Mall at Short Hills will be open from 10am to 8pm and Livingston Mall from 11am to 7pm.

Paramus Park Mall, Garden State Plaza and Willowbrook Mall will also be open for regular business hours.

Is LabCorp open on Presidents Day?

If you need blood work, LabCorp and its affiliated locations are usually open on President’s Day. Check the website to see if an appointment is open on February 16, 2026.

What restaurants are open on Presidents Day?

Most chain food and convenience stores are open on President’s Day. Wawa, 7Eleven, Starbucks, Chick-Fil-A and more. In fact, it’s the 14th busiest day of the year for food delivery, according to DoorDash.
