CNN’s Scott Jennings Cornered by Guest About Trump Official Claiming ‘Nazi Streak’

A CNN Newsnight The guest called the commentator Scott Jennings During a tense exchange about the state of the Maga movement.

Monday’s panel discussed the aftermath of last week’s Turning Point USA event, where Ben Shapiro Criticized Tucker Carlson To conduct interviews with white nationalists Nick Fuentes And for refusing to condemn Candace Owens For peddling conspiracy theories about the TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk’s murder Owens, who previously worked for Shapiro at the Daily Wire, has claimed that the Israeli government was involved in the murder.

Carlson spoke up moments later and offered a rebuttal. the next night, Steve Bannon spoke at the conference and similarly ripped Shapiro Megyn Kelly. vice president JD Vance Also spoke at the event, where he told the crowd, “You don’t have to apologize for being white anymore.”

On CNN NewsnightRepublican strategist Tim Paris There is no place for anti-Semitism and other forms of bigotry in the GOP, and Vance has strongly condemned such attacks, including all kinds of racial slurs and comments about Jews and “gas chambers,” including his comments about leaked Young Republican group chats.

Vance told group chat members to “grow up”, but he also criticized “pearl clutching” by strongly condemning the messages and “kids doing stupid things”.

“You’re misrepresenting the statements made by the vice president,” Parrish said. “He came right out and condemned it and said there is no place for those kinds of comments in the Republican Party.”

Adam Mockler Denying MeidasTouch’s claim.

“JD Vance said he would warn his kids so some ‘scumbag’ doesn’t leak the group chat like that,” Mockler replied. “He was implying that the person who leaked the group chat was a crook. JD Vance has been the furthest thing from moral clarity this whole time.”

Mockler then pivoted Paul IngrassiaWho is appointed by the President Donald Trump To be Acting General Counsel of the US General Services Administration. Leaked text messages from Ingrassia show he has a “Nazi streak” and made racist comments.

Here’s Mockler’s exchange with Paris and Jennings:

MUCKLER: And listen, do you know who Paul Ingrassia is?

PARRISH: Of course.

Mockler: Do you know who Paul Ingrassia is?

JENNINGS: Yes, we’ve debated it.

MUCKLER: Do you know – well, so you know what Paul Ingrassia said?

JENNINGS: Yes, we’ve debated it.

Mockler: He has a Nazi streak. Oh, you argued. But has Trump fired him, or is he still part of the administration?

JENNINGS: I don’t know where he is now.

MUCKLER: He’s part of the administration. And you know it. You are lying now. You know he is a part of the administration. He is still there. And he said he had a “Nazi streak.” So you can sit there and have fun, but it’s not clear what you’re talking about right now. Do you condemn Paul Ingrassia?

JENNINGS: I certainly condemn—

Mockler: Should Trump fire Paul Ingrassia?

JENNINGS: — presumed to have a Nazi streak.

Two days after Ingrassia’s text was made public, Jennings said he agreed with the administration’s decision to withdraw Ingrassia’s nomination to head the Office of Special Counsel. However, Trump appointed Ingrassia as acting general counsel at the General Services Administration three weeks later.

hours before his appearance News NightJennings said Vance should ultimately distance himself from conservatives who “traffick in hate.”
