In late January 2026, the US Department of Justice released more than 3 million files related to Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier and sex offender. This fueled fresh rumors regarding the contents of the files released after the first drop in December 2025, including the proliferation of various images that people claimed were real photos released by the Justice Department.
One particular image that circulated in February allegedly depicted President Donald Trump and Epstein washing the feet of what appeared to be a young woman or teenage girl. Trump is wearing aviator sunglasses and a white towel, while it’s unclear if Epstein is naked or even in a towel. One Facebook user (archived) called the photo “from the DOJ files.”
Social media users also shared the alleged photo on Thread (archived) and Instagram (archived).
In short, the photo of Trump and Epstein, who appears to be a young woman or teenager, taking a foot bath was not an authentic photo. It originates from an artist who creates images of public figures that are meant to look realistic but are ultimately not real. Therefore, we have rated this image as fake.
English artist Alison Jackson first posted this picture on Facebook, TikTok and X on November 17, 2025.
According to the about page on Jackson’s website, he creates images to be convincingly realistic:
Jackson questions how we can’t tell what’s real or not, and how we don’t care. She creates convincingly realistic photographs, films and sculptures that depict celebrities working in private, images we’ve all imagined but never seen before, using cleverly styled lookalikes.
A spokesperson for the artist confirmed via email that the fake image originated from Jackson: “The image was created by Alison Jackson, she uses the looks of public figures and makes them look realistic, she also uses AI – it’s a bit of both.”
Some details within the image indicated that it was created with artificial intelligence tools.
For example, Trump appears to be missing a finger or two on his right hand. The three fingers visible on that hand are probably the thumb, index finger, and middle finger. The index finger is longer and unusually thicker than the middle finger, looking more like a thumb than a thumb.
Additionally, the light on Trump’s aviator sunglasses appears to be off. In general, you should be able to see through a pair of aviator sunglasses, at least partially, unless there is reflection on the lenses. However, the lenses of Trump’s sunglasses are black and do not reflect the camera’s flash, despite the lighting of the image suggesting it is a flash photo.
