UAB Football kicks off the 2022 season at 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 1 against Alabama A&M at Protective Stadium. UAB will also host Georgia Southern (Sept. 17), Middle Tennessee (Oct. 8), Charlotte (Oct. 15), UTSA (Nov. 5) and North Texas (Nov. 12) at Protective Stadium this season.
Blazer fans can expect new experiences to come along with the new season. The first game of the 2022 season will kick off with a giveaway for the first 10,000 fans and end with fireworks. UAB Athletics encourages fans to start making game day plans with these important details in mind.
Buy tickets early
UAB Athletics encourages fans to purchase their tickets in advance. Individual single-game tickets start as low as $20 in the Family Zone with options available as low as $45 in the East Side Scholarship seats.
Season tickets for the 2022 UAB football season are still available starting at $90. The season ticket packages will include all six home games and will provide the most economical way for fans to attend matches during the second season at the Protective Stadium. Additionally, individual and corporate groups can plan an unforgettable experience at a UAB Football home game this fall by completing the UAB Football Group Ticket Request Form or downloading the UAB Football Group Ticket Order Form football by visiting our group ticket page here. Discounted group tickets and fan experiences are available for a minimum purchase of 15 tickets, and fan experiences are available on a first-come, first-served basis at every home football game during the 2022 season.

Getting to the game
The Blazer Express picks up at the Hill Student Center starting four hours before kickoff and drops off at the BJCC Exhibit Hall; will end return trips to campus for one hour after the game ends. Download the DoubleMap app from the Apple App Store or Google Play to track Blazer Express buses in real time.
Fans are invited to purchase parking prior to game day and use the Waze traffic app to find the best route to their reserved space on game day.
Parking spaces for a game are in the Navy Garage. Season parking passes are available to season ticket holders at a cost of $90 through the UAB Athletics Ticket Office.

Show your Blazer spirit every Friday and every game day by wearing green. Licensed merchandise is available for purchase on campus, online, at the Defense Stadium and in the community.
As in previous seasons, the Defender Stadium has a clear policy in place for all events. The bag must be clear plastic and smaller than 12 inches by 6 inches or a small clutch bag that is smaller than 5 inches by 7 inches. As a reminder, the Defender Stadium is cashless, so fans should plan accordingly.
Fun before the game
Nothing says football season like a tailgate with friends and family. Gates open 90 minutes before the Blazers kick off and fans are encouraged to get down to Protective Stadium early and hang out.

Everyone’s favorite, Blazer Village will feature free interactive games for kids, face painting, music, a UAB Bookstore pop-up shop and more. Blazer Village will be located in the L-shaped bar plaza, south of Southern Kitchen and the Uptown entertainment district, making it a convenient place to stop on game day. The fan celebration area will open four hours before kick-off and close 30 minutes before kick-off to allow time for fans to enter the stadium.
STUDENTS
Student access to UAB Football is available free of charge to all active UAB students with a valid ONE Card. Student tickets may be requested in advance at the UAB Athletics Ticket Office located in Bartow Arena the week of each home game. Student tickets are available from 9 a.m. Monday through noon the day before each game.

Student tickets are also available on a first-come, first-served basis on game day at the South Defense Stadium box office beginning four hours prior to kickoff. Students can enter the Defense Stadium from any gate, although the southern entrances are the most convenient.
Students can reserve specific tailgate spaces; Tickets will be available for pickup on the Monday prior to each game beginning at 9 a.m. from the UAB Athletics Ticket Office in Bartow Arena located on the UAB campus. The student tailgate is open before the game beginning four hours before the scheduled game time and closes one hour after the game ends.
