Mark Epstein continues to claim that his brother, Jeffrey Epstein, was murdered.
Mark said on Friday, January 9 that “further autopsy facts” will be released in the coming weeks and will “prove” his allegations.
Jeffrey died in August 2019 after hanging himself in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center.
Mark Epstein continues to claim that there is evidence that will prove that his brother Jeffrey Epstein was murdered.
Jeffrey, a convicted sex trafficker, died of suicide by hanging in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York on August 10, 2019, while awaiting trial on multiple sex trafficking charges. Mark was the one who identified the body.
As speculation began surrounding the circumstances of Jeffrey’s death, Mark contacted former NYC Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. hired Michael Baden, who said there was “evidence of murder rather than suicide”.
Years later, in June 2023, the FBI and Justice Department said there was no credible evidence of foul play in his death, according to a DOJ report.
Despite the findings, Mark continued to voice his skepticism over the official findings, telling NBC News in July 2025, “More and more, I believe she was murdered.” “And everyone who looks at all the information that’s out there on the facts comes to the same conclusion,” Mark added.
Mark reiterated his belief in an appearance on News Nation Now on Friday, January 9, alleging that Jeffrey was murdered, and that “more autopsy facts will come out in February that will prove it.”
He told the outlet that when he saw Jeffrey’s body, the injuries “didn’t match the way his body was found hanging.”

Mark Epstein and Jeffrey Epstein
Mark continued, “There are only three ways to die in prison,” before adding, “Suicide, natural causes or murder.”
“And Jeff was murdered. I want to know who killed him and on whose behalf?”
Mark also said he believes the previous research and subsequent findings are a “cover-up”. “Why loud?” he asked. “Who are they trying to protect?”
Meanwhile, Mark rejects Geoffrey’s longtime confidant Ghislain Maxwell’s August 2025 comment that he “doesn’t see” Geoffrey’s murder, even though he admits that Geoffrey’s murder is “definitely” possible.
“But I don’t know any reason why, and I don’t believe in blackmail or any of this, I don’t think Epstein would have hit like that,” she continued. “If it really was a murder, I believe it was an internal situation.”
In a Friday interview with News Nation Now, Mark said he “doesn’t believe anything” Maxwell says, adding that he “never saw the body or talked to Jeff before he died.”

Jeffrey Epstein’s 2019 mugshot
Before Mark spoke to the NewsNation on Jan. 9, he claimed in a Nov. 18 phone interview with the outlet that an unnamed source told him the names of conservative politicians had been removed from the Epstein files to prevent Republicans from being indicted.
Days later, on November 20, he made the claim on CNN Erin Burnett Outfront That President Donald Trump deliberately delayed the release of the Epstein files.
Mark also alleged that his brother had information about Trump when he was running for his first term in office in 2016, claiming it was incriminating enough to “cancel the election.”
“He didn’t tell me what he knew, but Jeffrey definitely had dirt on Trump,” Mark told the outlet.
