As the new year begins, my children, it is time for doomsday talk – and no one catches us like Nostradamus.
Michel de Nostradamus, Nostradamus, or Nous if you’re bad, was a 16th-century astrologer, doctor, ecclesiastic, and bearded soothsayer who is credited with predicting the Great Fire of London, Hitler’s rise to power, the 9/11 attacks, the death of COVID-19, Francesbe’s death from COVID-19, and Elispend. A powerful earthquake hit Japan on New Year’s Day 2024 to name a few.
Known as the “prophet of effort,” Nostradamus’ decidedly dark worldview was shaped by a steady diet of Old Testament brimstone and the trauma of losing his wife and young children to the plague. Unable to heal those he loves most, it seems he sets out to warn the rest of us through the revelation of his destruction.

Sometimes right on the money but more often than not missing the mark, our human predictions tend toward flamboyance and disaster.
With the publication of his famous book “Les Prophecies” in 1555, Nostradamus gifted the world and its future generations with a semi-poetic tome that predicted wars, epidemics, natural disasters, civil unrest, political assassinations and other similar light fare.
Heavy on language like “rain of blood,” the book is an enduring classic, and with 2026 on the horizon, we’re looking forward to what fury and hellfire is in store.
But first, look back.
In 2025, Nostradamus predicted the end of the conflict in Ukraine, a giant asteroid hitting Earth, the flooding of the Amazon and the rise of an aquatic empire.

How did he do it?
Ukraine is still at war, and Russian President Vladimir Putin is reportedly working on a peace plan with the help of the U.S., but no ceasefire yet.
Regarding Apocalyptic Asteroids, NASA reports that as of December, 191 asteroids have passed dangerously close to Earth in 2025, but so far no destruction has occurred.
In February and March of this year, after a long drought, the Ene River in the Amazon basin experienced heavy rains and devastating floods that devastated the indigenous Ashaninka communities.
There has been no clear aquatic state for the Taj, we can say the controversial growth of AI, powered by aquatic centers that use water for cooling and humidity, as an empire in construction and terrible environmental tech.
Nostademus apparently never wrote predictions for 2026. However, true believers in bats – do not look to the quatrains of the number “26” to see what calamities lie ahead.

According to the 26th verse of Shatabdi I, “Great man will be killed by thunder in the day.”
We can interpret this line as the assassination of a prominent male figure or a political coup that shakes the political regime.
It really thundered.

In Quatrain, II:26, Nostradamus writes, “Ticino will be filled with blood, because of the favor shown by the city.”
For the uninitiated, Ticino is an Italian-speaking region of southern Switzerland full of lakes and alpine peaks.
While the aforementioned overflow sounds like severe AF, blood doesn’t necessarily mean bad news, as this prognosis may reflect a possible increase in stem cell protection.
By 2025, umbilical cord blood stem cells of mothers giving birth in Ticino can now be preserved for private family use and solidarity donation.

In quatrain VII:26, Nos becomes marine, writing, “Seven ships round the foist and galleys, A mortal battle shall be left.”
For the non-seafarers among us, foists are ships of light weight, and galleys are ships propelled by oars. This prophecy appears to be a naval skirmish reference.
Experts doubt that the disputed war will involve China, which has disputed claims to a vast expanse of sea off its southern coast.
China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia and the Philippines have overlapping claims to these islands, reefs and waters, making for a collection of seven countries, or if you’re the poetic type, “ships,” primed for littoral conflict.
Will the fascist herd bring a dark cloud of thought? easybanana – stock.adobe.com
In quatrain I:26, our man writes: “A great swarm of bees shall arise . . . ambush by night . . .”
Conspiracy theorists associate the bee image with politics. In this sense, the hive mind of some ideologies can constantly rise and crack.
Since black is the favorite color of fascists and swarm worms, we can further predict that 2026 will see authoritarian-leaning regimes add to their color ranks.
