People are sharing subtle signs that a person is red-pilled, and they’re incredibly specific
We recently asked members of the BuzzFeed community to share the subtle signs that people are red pilled. Here’s what they said:
If you’re unfamiliar with the term “red-pilled,” it’s used to refer to men in the manosphere (internet spaces that promote male supremacy and traditional gender roles). Generally, “red pill” men believe that men are at a disadvantage and that oppression of women is not real. This results in wrong thinking and behavior.
1. “A major red flag is if they don’t consume art made by women. If they don’t listen to any female musicians or read any female writers, it’s a sign that they don’t respect women in general.”

2. “It’s a sign a man is on the red pill if he complains that he’s never experienced being in a relationship, and then he spouts BS like ‘10% of women are only attracted to 80% of men!’ or ‘75% of women have ridiculous standards and don’t like nice guys anymore!’ Men honestly believe in the numbers policy, because it’s so much easier to use ‘logic’ to blame women instead of admitting that a man is probably just an ass.”

5. “When people don’t have a casual negative view of female celebrities, but it’s a sign that they really hate celebrity women. Taylor Swift is my go-to. I’ve seen grown men do hissy fits like kids when I just mention I’ve seen the Eras Tour. And when I say I’ve traveled to Europe for girls.”

6. “Usually, a sign when they have a ‘it’s all women’ mentality is to blame women. They complain about how they can’t get a date, and it’s always the woman’s fault.”

7. “If a guy says, ‘If we get married, you don’t have to work anymore’.”

9. “Believing that Andrew Tate is more than a piece of trash is a sign that a man has a red pill. It’s a red flag when they say that it’s understandable how Andrew Tate treats women because ‘that’s what happens when a guy gets rejected too many times.'”

10. “This is a sign if they have a persistent victimization or persecution complex, which often blames their own failures on others and uses them to accuse men of some vast conspiracy.”

11. “One sign is if they don’t take ‘no’ for an answer when you ask them out. One way they do this is to offer an alternative date idea instead of admitting you’re not interested.”

12. “A subtle sign when dating is that they present themselves in terms of value (because they’re told that’s what women care about). I once dated a guy who left out the fact that he’s living with his parents to take care of them as they age, their house will be a great asset to his future spouse. If we want to be serious, having access to $XX a month was an early sign because later, during the discussion of the show, we broke things off. Adolescence And then admitted that he admits that men are harassed by women who reject them. It was all there in the beginning, just subtle and disguised.”

14. “One sign is when a person is too heavy into a dietary culture that emphasizes eating only protein and ‘clean’ foods. There’s nothing wrong with watching what you eat, but a well-balanced diet includes good fiber intake, vegetables, fruits, etc. High-protein diets in particular are a big red flag.”

16. “One sign is how they respond when gender conversations come up. I go to a large university in the Midwest. The university tends to be more liberal; however, its location in a red state makes it a diverse mix of political views. Since I’ve studied as a teacher, some of our classes have included learning how to teach different types of students, whether it’s immigrants or people with disabilities. Many classes had gender and how to make sure your classroom is open and comfortable for any and all genders. I always look around and see some of my male classmates either narrowing their eyes at the professor or ignoring him for the rest of the lesson.”

17. “One indicator is if they make oddly timed and inappropriate statements about gender norms. Often this is in the form of a small joke or hint. When others disagree, the person in question tends to get angry or frustrated.”

18. “A red flag is being upset or offended by a woman who is outside of an assumed gender role or work profession. A woman who works in construction, STEM, automotive, etc. A woman who dresses more masculine, or a woman who plays contact sports. That indicates to me that he just doesn’t have many or any roles for women.

19. And finally, “The sign of red-pilled men is if they assume a woman is less passionate or knowledgeable about their interests, or that she’s into them for the ‘wrong reasons’. This is especially prevalent in nerd-related subcultures like gaming. Otherwise, good-looking guys have completely flipped on me when they find out I’m a gamer because they think I’m inherently bad at the hobby or using it to get guys. No, man, I’m just like you. I’ve been playing since I was a kid. You’re just an ugly person.”
