Down to $274 for Cyber Monday, this is a rare opportunity to get the latest Apple iPad at the lowest price ever – it’s one of the most versatile devices I’ve ever owned. I read news on it, binge YouTube, cruise through emails and even handle light work by pulling out my laptop. The battery still lasts all day, no babysitting required. This new model also doubles the storage of the previous version and offers a stunning 11-inch display that feels just as crisp for productivity (gasp) as it does for curling up with a show at night.

Why do I need this? 🤔
If you regularly toggle between a dozen apps, stream videos and reply to messages simultaneously, you’re in for a treat, as this iPad can keep up with whatever you throw your way. It’s an ultra-light, thin tablet that’s powerful enough to replace your laptop for most tasks but slips into your bag with room to spare. Its wide 11-inch Liquid Retina display lets you swipe and scroll any screen that used to feel like an old tube TV in vivid color and clarity. And if you’re into gaming, the graphics capabilities mean you can play demanding games without dropping a frame.
And let’s talk accessories — with the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil (both of which work like a dream with this model), you can turn it into a creative platform or an after-hours work station when you feel the urge. The only thing it can’t do is support Apple Intelligence. For that, you’ll have to snag Apple’s iPad Air, Pro or Mini models.
It could be you, in the confines of your parents’ house, away from all the family movement, glued to your new iPad. Happy holidays indeed. (Amazon)
What the reviewers are saying 💬
This iPad has already garnered a legion of fans (including our own tech guru, senior tech writer Rick Broida), as well as nearly 12,000 five-star reviews.
Advantage 👍
“The new iPad is faster and has twice the storage for the same price,” Broida says. “It’s a ridiculously capable device, more or less on par with the iPhone, but with a much larger screen. Yes, I didn’t find the last model to be slow in any way – quite the opposite – so the processor bump doesn’t excite me too much. However, the extra gigabytes represent a big win. That’s a lot more space, like recorded movies and video games.”
Rick continued, “Two notable changes are internal: the A16 chip (which Apple calls a ‘huge jump in performance’) and 128GB of storage in the base model. That’s double the amount of the 10th-gen iPad, yet Apple kept the starting price at $349. It’s an unexpected and fun, fun 4% over the last iPhone 16e.”
This five-star review comes from a longtime fan: “Although the physical size difference is minimal, the improved typing speed, increased storage capacity, and overall experience make me grateful for this upgrade. … The color of this iPad is pearl cornflower or sky blue. It’s so beautiful.”
“This is an amazing tablet! I was having trouble with my previous brand, and friends tried to get me to use an iPad,” began one buyer. “Finally I gave in, and now I can’t wait to get another one for my husband to use! I never dreamed things could be so easy using my Android. Safely packaged, shipped and received within hours of ordering!”
Cons 👎
“There’s one amazing thing missing from the iPad (A16), and that’s Apple Intelligence,” says Broida. “This integrated suite of AI tools can summarize emails, improve your writing, generate custom images and more; it also includes an upgraded Siri.
“That makes it the only current Apple device with a screen, lacking the company’s next-gen Smart. That said, some would argue Apple Intelligence — in its current, not fully realized form, anyway — is nice to have, but essential. I’m in that camp.”
