Papi’s Kitchen to open a location in Owings Mills

2 East Wells Afro-Latin fusion restaurant Papi Cuisine is opening an Owings Mills location in a former Don Pablo’s.

From the Baltimore Business Journal:

Co-owner Alex Perez confirmed to the Business Journal that the new restaurant will be located at 1 Restaurant Park Dr., off Red Run and Owings Mills boulevards next to The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille and a Red Robin. The building was previously Don Pablo’s, according to real estate listing website LoopNet.

On Instagram, Papi Cuisine posted “Location #2 Loading.”

Charles Street Event Space ‘Suite1031’ Opens

Earlier this year, Suite1031 opened at 1031 S. Charles St. on Federal Hill. Different galleries and studios are available for rent by the hour.

Medical cannabis certification business opens in Federal Hill

In recent months, Canamo Health opened at 912 Light St. on Federal Hill. Canamo takes over a retail/office space previously occupied by Allstate’s Jim Craig, who still has an office in Canton.

Canamo offers consulting for Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission certification. It also offers hemp products.

‘Hello Bonita’ moves down the street

Hello Bonita Hair Salon in Pigtown has moved across the street from 776 Washington Blvd. at 761 Washington Blvd. Hello Bonita takes over a space that was last Beaters 2 Grails Sneaker Laundry Mat moved her business to 9/10 Condition Sneaker Boutique in Federal Hill.

Hi, Bonita’s former space is currently empty.

‘This Piggy Foot Spa and Nails Etc.’ It closes

This Little Piggy Foot Spa and Nails Etc. has closed at 781 Washington Blvd. in Pigtown. It was opened in 2018.

The former salon space is currently available for rent.

‘Light Street Barber’ celebrates 25 years

Light Street Barbers celebrated its 25th anniversary in Federal Hill. It has been in business in the neighborhood since 1995 and opened at 1536 Light St. in South Baltimore in 1998.

The business was started by barber and owner Keith Wiebking. Customers can also get haircuts from barbers Moe and Young.

Bar from ‘Cafe Hon’ Now in Second Chance

The bar from the former Cafe Hon in Hampden was brought to Second Chance in the Carroll-Camden Industrial Area.

PALM opens its kitchen

Federal Hill live music Bar PALM, which first opened in March, recently opened its kitchen for food service. Using the charcoal pizza oven left over from Social Pub, PALM offers a Nashville-inspired menu featuring Nashville Hot Chicken, fried green tomatoes, wood-fired wings, a catfish, BBQ sandwiches and platters, salads, mac and cheese, and more. .
