The Cut launches first subscriber bag

Over the past few years, The Cut has strived to be the publication that brings to life your deepest thoughts and group conversations about style, self, culture, and power—an outlet that sparks conversation without preaching or judging. We think our efforts have been successful, so naturally, we launched a bag!

The first Cut subscriber bag is designed to be your new everyday bag. The black color with our simple logo on the bottom corner makes it versatile enough to match everything in your closet. Plus, it’s big enough to hold all the essentials. It features long, sturdy straps (because there’s nothing worse than a purse that keeps falling off your shoulder). The launch is part of a special deal for New York Magazine subscribers: For a limited time only, readers can receive the tote bag AND a print copy of the Cut’s new spring fashion issue featuring everyone’s favorite actress, Julianne Moore, with any annual subscription plan.

Cut Tote Bag and Spring Fashion Issue, Plus Annual Digital Subscription

It’s not that we’re biased, but we are. The Cut tote bag should become your new go-to bag. And getting a copy of the spring fashion issue with your purchase is really the cherry on top. It features Oscar winner Julianne Moore, photographed by Nadia Lee Cohen; styled by Cut style director Jessica Willis; and profiled by Jazmine Hughes. Inside, you’ll find compelling conversations about divorce, financial scams and what it’s like to be permanently banned from your favorite online brand, as well as interviews with the popular star of past lives, Greta Lee; model and TikTok star Alex Cosani; and French singer and model Yseult. It’s so good, in fact, that deputy style editor Joanna Nikas said it might be her favorite Cut issue ever.

“We’re in a new chapter at Cut, and I’m excited to continue growing our team by elevating what it means to be a modern fashion publication and creating a publication that’s fun to look at and fun to read and be a part of,” said Cut Editor-in-Chief Lindsay Peoples. “Our readers are looking for stories that have yet to be told, and our team is always looking for ways to be in the conversation about what people want to see or particular obsessions they have. This issue is just an extension of Cut’s great storytelling online every day, and I’m excited for people to read it head-to-head.”

It’s simple: All you have to do is sign up for a new annual subscription plan. Run don’t walk because this offer is limited.

You can choose the $50 annual digital plan if you want just the bag and a single print copy of the Cut’s Spring Fashion Issue, or the $70 annual digital + print plan if you want the bag, one print copy of the Spring Fashion Issue and 26 print editions delivered directly to your home throughout the year. As part of this offer, you will also get unlimited access to all sites under New York Magazine umbrella, including The Intelligencer for political news, Vulture for the latest entertainment reviews, and Grub Street for New York restaurant reviews galore.

New York Fashion Week is buzzing for Cut’s Spring Fashion Issue. It’s too early to tell what people are saying about the handbag, but I know New Yorkers: They love bags and they love the Cut, so I’m pretty sure this launch will sell out.
