Going it alone in the AI world when you’re a small upstart isn’t a wise strategy. Many big AI tech companies can squash smaller competition, and Nebius has wisely partnered with some of the biggest names in the industry. One of Nebius’s biggest supporters Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA )The generally accepted leader in AI computing units. Nvidia has invested several billion dollars in Nebius, and Nebius buys AI computing equipment from Nvidia and gets early access to Nvidia’s new products.
This is a big selling point for Nebius’ platform, as it will always have the latest and greatest available from Nvidia. It has attracted many big name clients, viz Meta Platforms and Microsoft. Nebius is also a popular choice for individual developers, and another great AI company may already be on Nebius’ platform.
Nebius is looking to rapidly scale its footprint as large tech companies demand more computing capacity they can lease. In 2024, it operated two data center sites. By the end of 2025, this number had reached seven. By the end of 2026, Nebius expects 16 sites. This rapid expansion is also reflected in its finances. In Q4 2025, its core AI business saw revenue grow 802% year-over-year to $228 million. By the end of the year, it expects an annual run rate of $7 billion to $9 billion, up from $1.25 billion at the end of 2025.
This is an incredible expansion in a short time frame, and demonstrates the huge demand for the product that Nebius is offering. If Nebius can continue to meet AI computing needs and rapidly expand those customers into 2027 and turn those customers into long-term customers, the new tech in the making Nebius could be huge.
The returns from this type of investment can be incredible, but Nabius must focus on operating profitably. Right now, that’s not a priority, because there’s a bigger market to capture. But if Nebius can capture a large share of the market and turn a profit a few years from now, it could be a great investment and one of AI manufacturing’s biggest winners.
