Trump threatens to blow up ‘entire country’ in wild warning

President Donald Trump has threatened to destroy the nation of Iran unless Iran’s government stops taunting and threatening him amid growing unrest.

In a clip from his Tuesday evening interview on NewsNation Katie Pavlich tonight Released early, Trump was asked what his reaction was to what Pavlich described as taunts and threats issued by the Iranian leadership aimed at the president.

“Well, they shouldn’t do it, but I left a notice that if something happened, the whole country would blow up,” Trump replied.

Taking a moment to criticize his predecessor, Joe Biden, for not saying anything about the Iranian regime, he said, “A president has to protect the president. If I were here, and they were making that threat to somebody — not even the president, but somebody, like they did to me — I would hit them very hard.”

“But I have very firm instructions,” he continued. “Whatever happens, they’re going to wipe them off the face of the earth.”

Talking about his other geopolitical ambitions, including seizing control of Greenland, Trump argued that controlling the autonomous region of Denmark is important to ensure the effectiveness of his so-called “Golden Dome” defense shield, telling Pavlich, “Having Greenland makes it a more effective golden dome.”

“So you’re saying that Greenland is essential to the security of the United States and the free Western world?” Pavlich asked him. “That’s right,” Trump replied, “and even beyond missile defense, it’s very important to the gold dome, it’s just important to national and indeed international security.”

“We have weapons that nobody knows about. It’s probably better not to talk about it, but we have some amazing weapons,” the president also told Pavlich, referring to the top-secret weapons in his possession, referring to his invasion of Venezuela and the kidnapping of President Nicolas Maduro.

Trump previously said that if Iran followed through on threats to target U.S. military or commercial bases, “we will hit them with “much, much greater force” “at a level they’ve never been hit before.”

Asked by a CNN reporter earlier this month whether the country was taking its threats seriously, Trump dismissed the question as silly, arguing that Iran “has been going through this with me for years” and citing the killings of Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Qasem Soleimani and ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as evidence.

“I think so. Don’t you think so, CNN? Don’t you think so? Wouldn’t you say that they probably do at this point? After traveling with me for years, the hits — Soleimani, al-Baghdadi — Iran’s nuclear threat is gone. Don’t you think?” He said, referring to the attacks on three of Iran’s nuclear sites last June.

The president has expressed support for anti-government protesters in Iran, encouraging them to occupy national institutions and reassuring them that protesters are being helped by growing concerns about a crackdown, including arrests and extrajudicial killings.

“Iranian patriots, keep protesting – occupy your institutions!!! Save the names of the murderers and abusers. They must pay a heavy price. I have canceled all meetings with the Iranian authorities until the senseless killing of protesters stops. Help is on the way,” he wrote on True on January 1.

He ended the post with “MIGA!!!,” or “Make Iran Great Again.”

A true social post Jan. 13, at 9:43 a.m., from President Donald Trump promising to help Iranian protesters.

A day later, he told reporters that he had been informed that Iran had stopped killing protesters and had no plans to carry out more executions, providing no source for his claim.

The Iranian government responded to Trump’s threats with threats of its own, with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi saying, “We are not looking for war, but we are ready for war.” He added, ‘We are also ready for talks, but the talks are fair, with equal rights and mutual respect.

The country’s Guardian Council also condemned Trump’s “criminal and foolish insults and baseless rhetoric”, and stressed that any crime against Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei “is considered to cross the red line of the pious people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and will bear heavy costs and serious consequences.”
