The 2022 death of Huntsville, Alabama-based researcher Amy Eskridge has resurfaced online as the 11th case in a growing list of scientists who have died or disappeared under unusual circumstances.
His death drew renewed attention after at least 10 other recent cases involving people involved in US military, nuclear and aerospace research prompted questions about whether a pattern existed.
President Donald Trump said Thursday that he “just missed a meeting” on the issue and promised to respond within days, calling the situation “very serious.”
“I hope it’s random, but we’ll know in the next week and a half,” Trump told reporters.

White House press secretary Carolyn Levitt wrote in the X on Friday that the White House investigation “will leave no stone unturned.”

“In light of these troubling cases and recent and legitimate questions about President Trump’s commitment to the truth, the White House is actively working with all relevant agencies and the FBI to conduct a holistic review of all cases and identify any potential similarities,” Levitt said.
“No stone will be left unturned in this effort, and the White House will provide updates as we have them.”

While authorities have not confirmed any connection between the cases, the overlap in time and the connection of the individuals to advanced investigative fields have fueled increased public attention and speculation.
Eskridge died on June 11, 2022, in Huntsville, Alabama, at the age of 34. His death has been reported as a self-inflicted gunshot wound, although limited official details have been released publicly.

Eskridge co-founded the Alien Science Institute and described his work as focused on experimental propulsion concepts, including what he referred to as “antigravity” research.
“We discovered antigravity, and our lives went (expletive) and people started sabotaging us,” she said in a 2020 interview with YouTuber Jeremy Rice. “It’s harassment, bullying. It’s horrible.
“If you stick your neck out in public, at least someone notices if your head is cut off,” Eskridge added. “If you stick your neck out in solitude, they’ll bury you. They’ll burn your house down while you’re sleeping in your bed, and it won’t even make the news.”
In the same interview, he described the increasing pressure surrounding his work.
“I have to publish because until I publish it’s only going to get worse,” she said, adding, “The situation is getting more and more aggressive.”
Michael David Hicks is one of the scientists who disappeared or died under mysterious circumstances.
In presentations and interviews, Eskridge also suggested that researchers working on unconventional technologies could face pressure to move their work out of the public domain, citing what he saw as a pattern in which scientists reporting breakthroughs would “disappear” from public work or cease publication.
Eskridge’s death has been cited along with retired Air Force Maj. Gen. William “Neil” McCausland, NASA scientist Monica Jacinto Reza, contractor Steven Garcia, astrophysicist Carl Grillmeyer, Massachusetts Institute of Technology physicist Nuno Loureiro, Franlink Mairos engineer, AACA, Louros engineer, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Carl Grillmeyer, among others. Melissa Casillas and Anthony Chavez, NASA researcher Michael David Hicks and pharmaceutical scientist Jason Thomas.
The Energy Department’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) told Fox News Digital that it is investigating the deaths and disappearances.
“NNSA is aware of reports related to personnel at our laboratories, plants and sites and is looking into the matter,” the department said in a statement.

At the same time, there is no publicly available evidence linking Eskridge’s death to those cases, and authorities have not indicated any connection between his work and the circumstances of his death.
Her case has also been the subject of speculation in the online and alternative technology communities, where some commentators have questioned the circumstances surrounding her death. Those claims, however, remain unproven and are not supported by official findings.
