Mother-of-two Gemma Monk, 35, was looking forward to marrying her current husband Ken Monk in May 2024. She was walking the cream-colored carpet with her father at the venue in Maidstone, England, when someone called her name. “After the incident, if it wasn’t for my kids or my family, I don’t think I would have gotten out of bed to take care of myself,” he added. “I have lost all my dignity and good manners in life. The attack came after the monk lost significant weight during a cancer scare. Although she has been given a clean bill of health, Monk said her sister-in-law was aware of her medical struggles at the time but “still decided to ruin the most important day of my life and put me at risk.”
