A 25-year-old Marine veteran who was leaving his relationship was killed in a shooting in Kansas — reportedly by her husband.
Police say Ivy Unruh was shot to death outside her northeast Wichita apartment on April 20.
Her husband, 29-year-old Joshua Orlando, is charged with premeditated first-degree murder, according to court records. He is being held on $1.5 million bail after his first court appearance with a preliminary hearing set for May 5.
Authorities said Unruh was shot the morning of April 17 and taken to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died. Orlando was taken into custody a short time later. The incident is being investigated as a domestic violence homicide.
