Salt Lake City (ABC4) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced that they have appointed 14 people to the Young Men General Council. Among those appointed are several faith-based YouTubers and co-founders of “The Chosen” TV series.
According to the church, the Young Men’s Organization directs the guidelines, church instruction and activities for all young men in the church between the ages of 12 and 18. The Young Men General Presidency, composed of two counselors and a president, “advises, inspires, and directs the bishops, who lead, teach, and support the young men in their congregations and direct the local Young Men organization.”
The Young Men General Council, including those newly appointed, assists the Young Men General Presidency in carrying out its duties.

Fourteen individuals from Utah have been appointed to the council and bring a variety of experiences. Two of them are faith-based YouTube channels. Additionally, one has founded and starred in the religious TV series “The Rosen,” and many have worked for the church in various roles.
ABC4 has compiled information about the new hires and their educational and professional backgrounds based on public information and biographies. from the church. Notably, it does not include their previous religious services, which can be found in the church Website.
Luke J. Nichols in Alaska: Nichols has a degree in political science and a juris doctorate from BYU and previously practiced criminal defense law as the managing partner of Nichols & Green PLLC in Virginia. According to a 2021 Social media post From Nichols, he is also the creator behind Outdoor Boys, a popular YouTube channel with over 18 million subscribers. Notably, he uploaded a farewell video on that YouTube channel earlier this year but has continued to upload videos.
Agbor T. Agbor In Salt Lake County: Agbor graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. Currently, he serves as President of Utah Water Systems LLC.
Derral E. Eves in the storm: Ives graduated from Southern Utah University. He is the co-founder and executive producer of “The Rosen” and the CEO of Creatus. According to their website, Creatus is a marketing company that provides Google to Mr. Until Beast has worked with various businesses and creators. Within the church, he has served as an elders quorum president, bishopric counselor, bishop, stake presidency counselor and full-time missionary.
Rogelio Osuna at Herriman: Osuna has a degree in business management from BYU and previously worked at Goldman Sachs. Now, he works for the church’s missionary department and helps develop missionary training centers around the world.

Daniel E. On Mendoza Garcia Santaquin: Garcia has worked for various companies in the manufacturing industry since graduating with an associate degree in industrial engineering. He has served as counselor in three mission presidencies, high councilor, counselor in a stake Young Men presidency, bishop and bishopric counselor.
John Hilton III in Orem: Hilton previously earned a master’s degree from Harvard and a PhD in education from Brigham Young University. He serves as a professor of religious education at BYU and has published several religious books and online courses.
Walter G. Quiroz Jr in the highlands, Queiroz Jr. has a degree in accounting and currently oversees a mining company in Brazil and a commercial janitorial company in Utah.

Richard P. Kaufusi in Salt Lake County: Kaufusi holds degrees in education and English from Utah Tech College (formerly Dixie College), BYU, and UofU. He has served on several academic and executive boards, including Primary Children’s Hospital. Kaufusi now works in the manufacturing sector at Wolfram Capital.
G. Sheldon Martin in West Haven: Martin has degrees in political science, mental health counseling and behavioral health from Arizona State University. He has worked for the church for 21 years and is currently the Director of Member Insights in the Priesthood and Family Department.
Anthony R. Sweat In Springville: Sweat holds degrees in painting and drawing from UofU and education from USU. He has worked in the church educational system and is now the department chair of church history and doctrine at Brigham Young University.
Steve K Mutombo in Lehi: Mutombo holds a degree in Information Technology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management and a Masters in Public Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Information Systems. He currently works as a financial consultant at a consulting firm and has previously worked as a purchasing and fleet administrator, travel supervisor and regional support services manager for churches.

Clinton E Udi on Eagle Mountain: Udi is a former graduate of Idaho State University and USU and currently serves as the Area Director for the Department of Seminaries and Institutes of Religion for the Church.
Lehi’s Parker Aaron Walbeck: Walbeck teaches video production and social media marketing in online courses and on his YouTube channel Full-Time Filmmaker, which has more than 2 million subscribers. Additionally, he runs a faith-based YouTube channel called True Millennial.
Kazuhiko Yamashita in Provo: Yamashita has degrees in education and sports science and has also studied physical education and philosophy of sport. He currently teaches at BYU and works as an internship coordinator.
