Loudoun County transgender alternative accused of threatening school

A substitute teacher in Loudoun County, Virginia, who reportedly identified as female, was arrested Thursday on charges of making threats against a high school.

Loudoun County, formerly a ruby-red but now deep-blue suburb between Washington, D.C., and Winchester, has long been ground zero for transgender-related controversies, including sexual assaults on students and disputes over bathroom policies.

Haydin Dollery, 19, of Chantilly, Virginia, was arrested and charged with “threats of bodily harm” after local sheriffs received information via the “Safe2Talk” app that the man had threatened violence at a high school near Aldi.

Dollery was later arrested, however, not on school property, and is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center in Leesburg.

Dollery was a “non-licensed” substitute teacher for the 2025-26 school year and is no longer on the list of available substitutes for the district, according to FOX’s Washington affiliate.

Nineteen-year-olds can make themselves available as substitutes as long as they have a high school diploma or equivalency approved by the Virginia Department of Education, Loudoun County Public Schools told The Affiliate.

LCPS spokesman Dan Adams told Fox News Digital that the district does not discuss personnel matters.

“However, LCPS takes all threats seriously, as the safety of students and staff is our highest priority. Substitution is no longer on our list of options in this situation and substitution will no longer be permitted at LCPS.”

Loudoun County Dept. Chris Frake wrote in the criminal complaint that Dollery threatened several people through the Discord app in a message to a friend, according to the Loudoun Times.

California teen vows to keep fighting after school district confronts trans athlete: ‘It’s not okay’

“I’m good with gay people and cross-gender people — anybody who wants to be a good American, I’m good — I went there to find out why our kids aren’t safe,” he told “The Ingraham Angle.”

“The next thing I know, another parent-activist approached my wife and started to antagonize her, and I turned around and told her to stop.”

Smith said he tried to tell the woman how her daughter had been assaulted in the restroom at Stone Bridge High School, but she insisted:

“She looked me dead in the face and said, ‘It didn’t happen.’ It hit me – how do you know what happened, you don’t know me?”

Then-Government. Glenn Youngkin told Fox News Digital at the time that Smith deserved a “universal apology” for the incident.

“He stood up for his daughter’s rights and his daughter was sexually abused,” Youngkin said.
